Johnny Pursley drove the Steve Davis #71 Custom Chassis on  Friday at Carolina Speedway. Started on the 2nd row in the heats and was running third when we had some motor trouble and wasn't able to make the main.  There will be some exciting things coming up in 2010 and there is alot of work ahead. Will keep you updated here and on trackforums, see ya next year!

Great night of racing at I-77 on September 12th, Limited Late Model results : 1) 87-Ross Bailes, 2) 9-John Pursley, 3) 18- Jason Burrows, 4) 71- Jeff Knight, 5) 57- Andy Blackwood.

There were hard fault battles all over the track with the 71 and 18,Jason Burrows, going at it for about 4 laps before the 71 made a move and passed the 18 in 3 & 4. The 9 of John Pursley was coming and when he passed the 71 in 3 & 4, Jeff was a little fast coming out of 4 and spun the 9, which put the 71 to the rear of the pack. It seemed as if there was a full moon last night, the 16 of Chad Paxton and 84 of Randy Smith got into each other during the heat races and this caused the 84 to have to come in which made tempers flare, the 84 was escorted out of the track. The 16 hit the wall in the main and was out of the race, then the U1 of Mike Huey lost a tire coming out of 2 which sent the car climbing the wall which broke the fuel cell, the car was blazing for a few minutes before the track staff could get it under control. Mike Huey was able to get out before the fire really broke out and he was fine. Glad to see that, hated to see that the car was a total loss. Jeff Knight brought his car from the back of the pack to finish 4th, but the move of the race was when he passed 3 cars in 3 and 4. This was all in all a great night, great crowd and a tremendous amount of cars. I have never in my life seen so many people in the pits at a race. It was truly a night to remember. Good luck to all next week at the Pop Pursley Race and we look forward to coming back with all our fans.
